Troop 402 - Canoes the Little Miami
8/30/2015 - Morgans Canoe Rental
We departed Church about 8:20 am and headed to Morgans Canoe Livery at Ft. Ancient. Morgans quickly checked us in, we gathered our paddle and life jacket then headed to the water. We signed up for the 9 mile route and hit the water about 9:30 am. There was a quick rapid right after you get in, so no better time to get your feet wet right.. Micah and Taye got a little more then their feet in that first rapid.
We paddled for about 90 minutes and stopped for a quick snack (apple, beef stick and cheese). That gave everyone time to regroup. After snack we headed down river about 4 more miles to go. A few more scouts and leaders got wet, but a fun time was had by all. We arrived at the 9mile mark and the bus was waiting. We headed back to our cars, changed into some dry cloth and then had lunch.
